Have you ever sat beside a lady in a public transport and felt like blocking your nose or moving away from her because of the bad scent from her hair? I guess the experience wasn’t pleasant right?

The hair undoubtedly influences the overall appearance of a lady. How you keep your hair tells much about you. It is therefore very important to take good care of your hair to prevent it from smelling bad and to avoid being gossiped about. Some ladies for some reasons wear wigs or keep their braids on for a very long time. This results in the unpleasant smell.

Here are some tips to help protect your hair from bad odour and keeping it clean:

Clean the Hair with Methylated Spirit (spirit)

Dip a sizable cotton cool into the methylated spirit and rub it beneath the hair.  It doesn’t matter whether you are in braids or wig. It is easy to do and will take away the unpleasant scent from the hair. You can get methylated spirit at an affordable price in any pharmacy or cosmetics shop.

Clean the Hair with Baking soda solution

Nonetheless, dissolve a teaspoonful of baking soda powder in a half glass of water. Deep the cotton wool into the solution and rub it in your hair. This will take away the bad scent quickly from your hair.

Lime Water

Another way to clean the hair is to use lime water. This method is the cheapest since lime is less expensive as compared to baking soda and spirit. Squeeze the juice out of the lime into a cup or bowl. Dilute the juice with little water (about 2 spoonfuls), and as usual, use your cotton wool to clean the hair with the diluted lime water.

There are special hair sprays available in cosmetic shops that make sure your hair is clean. However, you can also try that one as well.

PLEASE NOTE: After cleaning the hair with any of the above method, dry the hair by using a hair dryer. After this you can apply your regular hair cream, spray or moisturizer such as “leave-in”. This will make your hair nice, smell fresh and look pleasant.
